I am trying to install Dance eJay from my old installation disks. And I went through the installation, choosing to install the program only. After it installs, I try to open it and it just says 'Dance50.exe has stopped working' so I try and run it via all the different compatibility options and none of them work! I uninstalled it.
Should I now try and reinstall since (because they're old disks) there may have been corrupted files but this time in the installer choose to install DirectX 8? I know modern systems use DirectX 11.0 + will installing 8 break anything? Hi, In my opinion, you can have a try to install it again. As for time you installed but it do need DirectX 8. In addition, I also check its official site and found this app applys to Windows 7 and lower system.
Therefore, maybe it is compatibility problem. It would be better to contact its manufacture to confirm this. Note: Microsoft provides third-party contact information to help you find technical support. This contact information may change without notice.
