He HatchKit Add-In provides hatch pattern management to Revit® and directly interfaces to an installed HatchKit (v2.7 or later) for further functionality. Use the HatchKit Add-In to manage a project's currently loaded patterns: view large, zoomable pattern samples with a doubleclickedit a pattern's name, type and orientation directly within the displayed table.delete individual patterns from the project (excepting SOLID).purge all unused patterns from the project. Where HatchKit 2.7 or later is installed, the HatchKit Add-In detects its presence and directly loads patterns as arranged by HatchKit from templates drawn in Revit®, as generated by the new HatchKit Brick+Tile Wizard, as drawn entirely within HatchKit or as loaded from external.PAT files. Additionally, any project pattern can be exported to an external.PAT file. Of particular note, the Add-In bypasses the Revit Hatch Import wizard so no scale upper limit is imposed on any pattern loaded. Very large fill patterns are now available to Revit.

This free add-in may be downloaded from the Autodesk Exchange Apps website. Profox, an Autodesk partner, has developed a set of tools to enable and support your collaborative BIM processes and provide asset and facilities management throughout your project lifecycle. Integrated with Autodesk Navisworks, Navistools allows additional project information to be added and linked to your Navisworks model. This additional data is held in a separate, relational database that can bring together many forms of data and which is available throughout the entire lifecycle from construction to operation and decommissioning. Information in the database can be organised, embedded in the model, and extracted to reports or external systems.
Additional modules of Navistools enable automated publishing of Navisworks project data, smarter management of point cloud data in Navisworks, on-site data capture using our Navistools Field application, and easy client-handover of Navisworks-based projects using Navistools Project Export. Navistools can help streamline your BIM processes, leading to reduced project timescales, reduced re-work, quicker access to project data, and easier collaboration—all leading to reduced project costs. Analysis data now speaks the language of the Architect. With Solar Analysis for Revit, you can quickly, easily, and iteratively perform and visualize solar impacts on the faces of mass models in Autodesk Revit 2014 and 2015. Using the free Solar Analysis for Revit technology preview, you can visualize and quantify the distribution and intensity of solar radiation on various areas of a mass, taking into account the shading effects from adjacent objects, such as vegetation and surrounding buildings in an urban setting.
It can also help with shading device design (effective strategies in blocking unwanted solar radiation) and aperture placement (allowing wanted solar radiation), or PV panel layout and analysis. The review of models for clash and collision detection is a major consideration in the use of Building Information Modeling. There is a now a FREE product on the market which will perform conflict checking of your 3-Dimensional models. This product is from Tekla, Inc and is called Tekla BIMsight. This is a basic clash detection software that allows you to bring several different 3-D models together for project collaboration and collision detection. It is not the robust software of Navisworks® Manage, but you shouldn’t expect that capability with a free product.
